Five years ago, we set out with one goal: to bring people together through music, nostalgia, and unforgettable moments. What started as an idea has turned into our biggest achievement yet, and it’s all thanks to you. As we celebrate our 5th birthday, here are five highlights from this incredible journey:
Over 475,000 Decks Sold
From living rooms to cookouts, family reunions to game nights, our decks have found their way into the hands of over 475,000 people worldwide. Gave Back Through LC Cares
We believe in more than just fun. We believe in impact and giving back to the community that built us up. Through our LC Cares initiative, we’ve donated over $50K to families and charities. We’re proud to use our platform to make a difference.
A few examples of what we’ve done to give back:
- Made Christmas happen for families that couldn’t afford it by checking off their wish lists, purchasing all the decorations (yes, including the tree!), and even buying the gift wrap.
- Sent cancer warriors and survivors on a spa day!
- Treated single moms and single dads to gift cards they could use to treat themselves.
- Bought college essentials based on the students’ personal needs for their program and dormitory.
- Donated to charities supporting wildfire relief, women’s empowerment, children’s education, and so much more!
Collabs: With Lemons We Made Lemonade
What started online quickly grew. We hit Amazon in 2022, launched a Target-exclusive deck in 2023, and had a Walmart-exclusive deck hit shelves earlier this year. You bought our decks online and in Target and Walmart stores. The joy of seeing our decks on those shelves just hit different!
These milestones remind us how far we’ve come and how much more is ahead. Looking back, there’s no better feeling than knowing we made it this far. And that’s because you helped us get here!
From the Kitchen Table to Retail Shelves
We went from packing decks at home to running our own warehouse and office. Lyrically Correct had a presence in every room of our house—decks on the living room table, boxes stacked in the garage, bubble mailers in the bedroom. Every shuffle, pack, and shipment has been fueled by dedication and supported by the love of our community.
To this day, all four founders still clock into the warehouse and help pack and ship out products. We never forget where we came from!
Building a Family, Not Just a Game
Along the way, we’ve built something bigger than just a card game—we’ve created a community. From social media shoutouts and hilarious game night videos to conferences and collaborations, y’all have helped spread the word and keep the vibes alive.
Your support not only grew our social media following but also helped us get invited to festivals and live forums where we could share our product alongside other small businesses, Black-owned businesses, family-owned businesses, and women-led businesses.
